Mission

  • To establish a community of Christians who will encourage and challenge each other with the goal of complete unity.
  • To provide for a coordinated, intentional effort to show our world Who Jesus is and that He loves them.

Motivation

  • 1 Corinthians 12; Community
Individual Christians, the Church, and the world experience Christ most fully when individuals have and take advantage of opportunities to use their spiritual gifts in pursuit of a God-given passion, purpose, or Dream. Communication and coordination among ministry organizations will expose each Christian to more such opportunities.
  • Hebrews 10:24-27, Galatians 6:1; Encourage and Challenge
As individuals and as ministry organizations, we need encouragement when we are right. We need a community in which we know and trust each other enough to “spur one another on” (v. 24). We also need to be challenged when we are wrong. While we may differ on matters of preference, we have a responsibility to challenge each other where Biblical principle is in question.
  • John 17:20-26; Picture and Purpose of Complete Unity
Jesus prays that we will “be brought to complete unity.” His prayer points to His relationship with His Father as a picture of perfect unity, and He prays that the purpose of such unity is “to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them[…]” (v. 23).

Community Core

  • John 14:6
Jesus is Truth. He is the only way through Whom we gain access to eternal life and to the Father
  • 2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm18:30; Matthew 15:3-9; 2 Peter 1:20-21
The Bible is the perfect word of Truth. As we challenge and are challenged, we will turn to Truth, not to tradition or interpretation, as our standard for resolution.
